Black Nike shoes
A black shoe is what many people want for school, work and the gym at once. The good news is that Nike has decent black options without getting near SAR 300.
What we found in the price range
Searching "nike black shoes men" on Amazon.sa on 31 October 2026, the cheapest was the Defyallday at SAR 118.26, then the Air Monarch IV at SAR 141.48. In the middle sat the Revolution 8 at SAR 180 and the Run Defy at SAR 193. The Downshifter 14 showed at three prices, SAR 195.94, SAR 229 and SAR 230.87, depending on colour and seller.
The key point: the most expensive shoe on this list is cheaper than the cheapest Jordan we saw the same day (SAR 390). If you want a practical black shoe, there is no need to pay for the name.
A job for each model
The Revolution 8 and Downshifter 14 are entry-level running shoes: light and low in weight, fine for short runs and brisk walking. The Run Defy sits in roughly the same class with a simpler design.
The Air Monarch IV is different: a leather trainer with a wider sole, known for stability and comfort on long walks, and many pick it for work because black leather looks smarter than mesh. The Defyallday is a gym trainer with a flatter sole, better for lifting than running.
All black or black and white?
"Black" in a title can mean triple black or a black upper on a white sole. For a school that requires all-black shoes, or a formal work uniform, check the side view of the sole before buying. Nike colour numbers help: 001 or 002 after the style code usually means mostly black.
Caring for black shoes
Black mesh fades with sun and frequent washing. Clean it with a soft brush and mildly soapy water and dry it in the shade. The Air Monarch leather needs a damp wipe and a little black shoe cream now and then. For growing children's school shoes, buy half a size up, no more, so they do not trip.
Reading the ratings
Every shoe in our table is rated between 4.0 and 4.6, a tight range that tells you little on its own. Read the negative reviews: are people complaining about size, mesh tearing after two months, or delivery? Delivery gripes are not about the shoe; durability complaints deserve attention. Amazon often pools ratings across all colours of a model, so the score is not necessarily about the black pair you are choosing. Sorting reviews by newest also helps, since Nike updates these models roughly yearly and old-version reviews may not apply.
